Long time Home of former County Executive Mr. Emerson Meggs and his wife Mrs. Margaret, who is a retired school teacher at Bell Elementary. Only due to health reasons is this nice brick home and acreage being offered for sale. Mr. & Mrs. Meggs are presently residing at Morningside Retirement Home in Springfield Tennessee.
Auctioneers Note:
It is an extreme honor to have the opportunity to offer this outstanding home and acreage at Auction on behalf of Mr.& Mrs. Emerson Meggs. As a lifetime resident of Robertson County I have admired and respected this family for its countless contributions to the city of Adams, the community in general and to the whole of Robertson County. As many of you know Mr. Emerson suffered a stroke sometime ago and although he is doing quite well he has wisely decided that it was time to relocate to Morningside where he and Mrs. Margaret can receive assistance should they need to. The Meggs loved this home and community and would not be making this move unless they felt it necessary to do so. I personally want to thank Mr. Emerson for his many years of public service as County Executive and he and Mrs. Margaret for their years of friendship and selfless contributions to our community. I also want to express my most humbled gratitude for them placing their trust and confidence in our firm to conduct this Auction. Please join me in making this a successful Auction for this most deserving family. Plan now to attend, as I hope to see you on July 23, 2011.
Sincerely,
James R. “Rick” Murphy
